In 1999, the Company purchased 28.4% of its shares as treasury stocks from Ssangyong Group, and changed its name from Ssangyong Oil Refining Co. to S-OIL in 2000. In 2015, AOC acquired these 28.4% of S-OIL's shares additionally.
