S-OIL delivers briquettes to “Gaemi Maeul” in Hongje-dong
● On Oct. 29, S-OIL offered coal briquettes to low income households and old people living alone in “Gaemi Maeul” in Hongje-dong, Seoul.
- The refiner donated 50,000 briquettes to the “Coal Briquette of love” program.
S-OIL offered 50,000 coal briquettes to low-income households and old people living alone in “Gaemi Maeul” (Ant Village) in Hongje-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul in the afternoon on Oct. 29 to help them get through the cold winter months.
About 100 people, including the S-OIL CEO Nasser Al-mahasher, employees in the S-OIL head office, participated in the volunteer activity and delivered briquettes to the recipients in person
“The coal briquette, an energy source on which low-income Korean people rely heavily, is an important heating energy source,” said CEO Al-Mahasher, after delivering coal briquettes to a low-income household. “I hope that the warm compassion of S-OIL officers and employees who participated in the volunteer work will be delivered to Gaemi Maeul people.”
S-OIL contributed coal briquettes to low-income households through the Coal Briquette of Love Program (representative: Byun Hyung-yun) since 2008 to help them to be offered heating energy source. Accordingly, the refiner has brought warm hope to neighbors.
