● S-OIL donates 200 mil. won to the culture sharing network, Siru.
● Since moving its headquarters to Mapo, the refiner has held 70 or so free performances for residents and office workers in Mapo, where about 20,000 people attended.

S-OIL(Representative: Nasser Al-Mahasher) held a ceremony for delivering a donation of 200 mil. won for the 2016 Art and Culture Sharing Campaign at its headquarters in Mapo. The donation was delivered to the culture sharing network, Siru (Representative: Pyo Jae-soon).

The Art and Culture Sharing Campaign is S-OIL’s art and culture sponsorship program that kicked off as part of its CSR activities in June 2011, when it moved its headquarters to Mapo. The refiner has held about 70 performances at the lobby and the auditorium of its headquarters and some 20,000 people, including its officers and employees and local residents, attended those performances. This year, it plans to hold a pop concert, a play, a musical, and a Korean traditional music show, etc., which family audiences can enjoy together, on Wednesday evening in the last week of every month.

The refiner signed an agreement to support a ‘Culture day’ with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on Nov. 18 last year. The refiner promotes neighbors and employees to have various cultural experiences by holding free performance at a headquarters on Wednesday in the last week of every month, on a ‘Culture day’, and supporting inter-office culture and arts club activities.

“Although our performances are free, audiences are greatly satisfied with them. Once we place performance posters at the lobby every month, we are inundated with inquiries from family-level applicants. Audiences are so enthusiastic that we can’t afford to invite all applicants often,” said an S-Oil insider. “We will provide a place for young artists to unleash their talents and will endeavor continuously to expand such culture sharing space for local communities.”
