Single Point Mooring
Buoys anchored offshore serve as a mooring point for tankers to unload crude oil. The unloaded crude oil is then sent to onshore storage tanks through underwater pipelines.

Crude Oil Storage Tanks
One tank has a capacity of 750,000 barrels and the capacity of three tanks is equivalent to crude oil consumption per day in Korea. The huge cylinder-shaped tank is 85 meters in diameter and 22 meters in height. It is equipped with a floating roof in order to prevent hydrocarbon vapor leaks.

CDU
Crude Distillation Unit
Through distillation, crude oil is separated into major oil fractions such as LPG, naphtha, kerosene, diesel, etc.
Layer Popup Close
MDU
Middle Distillate Hydrodesulfurizing Unit
The sulfur content is removed from kerosene and diesel at high pressure and temperature.
Layer Popup Close
Kerosene Sweetening Unit
Odors and corrosive substance are removed from kerosene fraction to produce jet fuel.
Layer Popup Close
Naphtha Reforming Unit
The naphtha separated from the CDU is reformed into an aromatics structure.
Layer Popup Close
BTX Extraction Unit
Benzene, Toluene, and Xylene are extracted from the reformed naphtha.
Layer Popup Close
Xylene Center
High-value para-xylene is produced from mixed Xylene, Toluene, and heavy aromatics.
Layer Popup Close
LPG Recovery Unit
The LPG separated from the CDU is further separated into propane and butane.

VDU
Vacuum Distillation Unit
Under reduced pressure, the residue from the CDU is separated into light and heavy oil fractions.

RHDS
Residue Hydrodesulfurization Unit [HYVAHL]
Sulfur, nitrogen, and asphalt contents are removed from CDU & VDU’s residue to produce ultra-low-sulfur bunker-C or feedstock for the RFCC(Residue Fluidized Catalytic Cracker).

MHC
MILD HYDROCARACKER
The Light oil fractions from the VDU are desulfurized to produce feedstock for the RFCC(Residue Fluidized Catalytic Cracker Unit) or the gasoil fraction from the CDU is desulfurized to produce ULSD(Ultra-Low-Sulfur Diesel).
Layer Popup Close
RFCC
Residue Fluidized Catalytic Cracker
Desulfurized feedstock from the RHDS and MHC is cracked at high temperature to produce highvalue products like gasoline, propylene, etc by utilizing continuously regenerated catalyst.

SDA
Solvent Deasphalting Unit
Deasphalted oil and asphalt are produced from residues from the VDU. Deasphalted oil is used to produce lube base oils.
Layer Popup Close
Lube Base Oil Production Unit
Light oil fractions from the VDU and deasphalted oil from the SDA are processed to produce high-quality lube base oils, which is used as a blending stock for manufacturing lubricants.
Layer Popup Close
HYC
Hydrocracker
Under high pressure and temperature, the light oil fractions from the V여 are hydro-cracked into high-value products such as naphtha, ultra-low-sulfur kerosene/diesel, and lube base oils.

Shipment Facility
Products are sent out via ships, tank trucks, rail tank cars, and pipelines.
