● S-OIL offers 21 children of fallen Maritime Police Officers who died in the line of duty i.e. helicopter transportation of emergency patient, coast guard.
● The refiner started The Hero Maritime Police Officers Support Program since 2013, following the Hero Firefighters Support Program and the Hero Neighbors Support Program.
S-OIL (CEO Nasser Al-Mahasher) held the Ceremony for Offering Scholarships to Children of Fallen Maritime Police Officers on June 22 along with the Korea Coast Guard and the Korea National Council on Social Welfare at the international conference room of the Korea Coast Guard headquarters in Songdo-dong Yeonsu-gu, Incheon Metropolitan City and delivered 40 mil. won to 21 children. The refiner has sponsored a scholarship to bereaved children who are in elementary, middle and high school to stably concentrate on their studying.
“It is truly meaningful for S-OIL to help children of proud Maritime Police Officers who sacrificed themselves for the nation and the people in adverse working conditions and died in the line of duty,” said S-OIL Senior Vice President Lee Chang-jai. “I promise that the refiner will provide systematic and various programs to support Maritime Police Officers who faithfully perform their duties despite dangerous work environment.”
S-OIL also held the other Hero Maritime Police Officers Support Programs including allowances for Officers who sustained work-related injuries, award for Hero Maritime Police Officers, Rest Camp for Maritime Police Officer Couples with the aim of encouraging heroes who dedicate themselves to saving lives and property by risking their own in adverse working conditions.
