● S-OIL and its subsidiary, STLC made a donation of 50 million won to the Truck Welfare Foundation as scholarships

S-OIL (CEO: Nasser Al-Mahasher) offered scholarships to the children of truck drivers who have become victims of traffic accidents together with its subsidiary S-OIL TOTAL Lubricants Co. (STLC).
On June 15, S-OIL Senior Vice President Shin Dong-yul and STLC CEO Pascal Rigaud visited the Truck Welfare Foundation in Yeouido and delivered scholarships of 50 million won to Chairman Shin Han-choon of the Truck Welfare Foundation for the children of truck drivers. The Truck Welfare Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2010 for the purpose of improving the welfare of truck drivers.
S-OIL supports hidden pillars of industry who work on silently all around the society to show great respect toward them. The donation also began to help families of truck drivers, who led economic development silently, while offering them financial/ psychological stability and letting them have pride about themselves.
“Truck drivers play a significant role in the nation’s logistics and transportation, the backbone of economic growth in Korea, but when traffic accidents occur, families get to have an immediate difficulty in making a living,” said an S-OIL officer. “We hope that our donation will help the children of truck drivers who suffer financial hardships due to unexpected traffic accidents to dedicate themselves to studying in a financially stable environment.”
