● On Jan. 16, S-OIL CEO Nasser Al-Mahasher rang in the New Year by going mountain hiking in Gyeongju along with 200 officers and employees, including new employees.
● He stressed concentrating all resources and capabilities of the company into the successful completion of the refiner’s new project while at the same time creating a safe workplace.
S-OIL CEO Nasser Al-Mahasher went mountain hiking together with 200 or so employees, including officers, team leader-level managers, and new employees who joined the company this year, at Mt. Toam in Gyeongju on Jan. 16 and made hopeful New Year’s resolutions.
An S-OIL official said, “CEO Al-Mahasher held this New Year’s mountain hiking event to strengthen his resolve, together with employees, to successfully complete the refining-petrochemical complex project in Gyeongju near the very site where its construction starts in earnest this year.”
CEO Al-Mahasher, who reached the peak of Mt. Toam, exchanging well-wishing remarks with newly joined employees this year, said, “This year, I ask all of you to pull the best of your resources and capabilities to successfully implement the RUC and ODC Project to build an integrated refining-petrochemical complex, which will become a key milestone in the history of S-OIL.” He added, “I’d like to call on every one of you to place the foremost value on safety and to renew your determination to make our company the safest workplace in the world by strictly observing safety rules and regulations.”
He stressed especially to new employees, “I hope that as the talent who will lead the Company preparing for a new leap forward into the future, you will deeply ingrain in your hearts the challenging spirit that you acquired while trudging along a steep mountain path and finally standing on top of it.”
