S-OIL offers a cool gift “Rest Camp” for firefighters

● S-OIL invites 70 firefighters and their spouses to the 1st Rest Camp for Firefighters.
    - To relieve their stress and boost their morale with various programs such as walking along the sunrise peak of Mt. Seongsan, and a lecture on making a happy family.

● S-OIL has been supporting firefighters and their families for seven years through the Hero Firefighters Support Program.

S-OIL (CEO: Nasser Al-Mahasher) invited 70 firefighters and their spouses working on the frontline nationwide and held the 1st Rest Camp for Firefighters.

The 1st Rest Camp for Firefighters was held from June 7 to 9 for two nights and three days in Jeju Island and it provided firefighters who work in a dangerous environment with an opportunity to stay away from their workplaces, to relieve stress along with their family and to refresh themselves.

Firefighters and their spouses saw the beauty of Jeju Island, such as the sunrise peak of Mt. Seongsan, and had time to consolidate their affection towards their spouses through a lecture under the title of "How to Make a Happy Family” given by a family medical physician and through recreation to promote communication between spouses, and there was also a program called Meditation for Health of Happy Couples.

A camp participant, Firefighter Chung Byeong-chun (39) of the Aviation Team at the National 119 Rescue Services, said, "It's very difficult to make time to be with my wife out of my busy schedule, so this camp was very meaningful in that I could spend time with her in beautiful Jeju Island during precious two nights and three days."

S-OIL has been running the Hero Firefighters Support Program for seven years since 2006 in order to back up firefighters who sacrifice themselves in silence for society and to provide financial support to their families in collaboration with the Korea National Council on Social Welfare. Through this program, the refiner conducts systematic support activities, providing condolence money and scholarships to the bereaved families and children of firefighters who died in the line of duty and also gives support money to injured firefighters.
